Today
we bike along the last leg of our tour which leads us into the
Austrian capital, Vienna.
Soon
we arrive at Klosterneuburg, where the Augustinian monastery with
its 900 year-old basilica in the romantic style awaits us.
Leaving
Klosterneuburg, the Kahlenberg, with its 484 m elevation seems to
block our way. It is one of the landmarks announcing the city of
Vienna.
Keeping close
to the Danube canal we soon reach the city limits of Vienna. The
Millennium Tower acts like a giant road sign leading us into the
city.
From
here it is only a short ride along quiet streets to our hotel, not
too far from the city centre. We say good-bye to our bikes and
meet for a little celebration in the evening after our dinner.
Perhaps this is the time to get a first taste of the world-famous
Wiener Schnitzel.
