After a quick breakfast in the morning we regretfully pack up our tents, launch our canoes and point them towards the base camp. We have made a final check of our camp site and are certain that we have left only footprints behind us and taken only pictures with us. 

Our canoes are much lighter now and everybody has acquired the secret of an efficient paddling technique.

After a refreshing swim and a cleansing sauna and another swim we sit down to a delicious open air buffet lunch served by the friendly staff at base camp. All too soon it is time to take a last look toward the far horizon behind which we spent such a pleasant , tranquil time. At about two o'clock we depart for our long drive back to Toronto and the pressures of civilization.

Nevertheless, the memories we have gathered during our short sojourn with nature will sustain us during many a frustrating moment to come. Perhaps, next summer we will have time to partake of another low-stress adventure holiday.
