Our Third Day in Algonquin Park...

The morning fogs are slowly lifting off the waters as we once again paddle away from our campsite towards the goal of our day’s outing.

We only carry our lunch, bathing necessities, camera and film and sun block crème in our canoes and we are making speedy progress across the waters.

After about an hour of paddling, we raft-up in the middle of a lake for short rest and to have snack and enjoy the wonderful scenery. Then we continue on towards our goal for today, which might be a hike among large old pines, a lazy afternoon on a sandy beach or some excitement “running” a set of rapids.

With every passing day our campsite routines become more efficient and our morning departures for our day’s adventure smoother and faster.

The way we handle the canoes and the paddles is almost second nature by now and we have time to enjoy the interesting surroundings as we paddle from one lake to the next.

At around  3 pm we start our trip back to our campsite where a great meal awaits us to round out a perfect day.
